Nicolas Marie

Nicolas started his career back in 1999 when Strategic Sourcing was still a concept, not yet a function. Passionate about food & its industry, he grew up as a seasoned Strategic Sourcing leader working for multinationals such as Danone & Kraft Foods, representing the Procurement function in various management committees. 

Early 2014, he joined the Managing Board of AGROPUR Cooperative (a $6Bn revenues organisation) in Montreal to set up a unique approach to Sourcing & Innovation, merging both Sourcing & R&D in one single department called Strategic Sourcing & Development (SS&D). SS&D has been designed to bring extra VALUE to the business through both Bottom line (Cost reduction) and Top line (Product Innovation). As part of this unique approach, Nicolas set up in 2016 a dedicated INNOVATION INCUBATOR to accelerate the road to market for AGROPUR's breakthrough innovation, and ensure that Open Innovation becomes a reality in the Dairy Industry. Expert in change management, Nicolas finds his source of motivation in building & developing high performing teams to influence the business at all levels. During the next PROCURECON Canada, he will happily share with you how, with his team, he sets Innovation at the centre of the Strategic Sourcing function.
